The Sourwood Inn is Pleased to Introduce:

Chef Kacia Duncan

Kacia is a graduate of the New England Culinary Institute. She comes to us from her latest culinary adventure in the Gascon region of southwestern France.

While there, she was the private chef on an exclusive canal barge. During that time, she and the owner also operated a cooking school and led gastronomic tours through France and Spain. 

Prior to working in France, Kacia was the Executive Chef at the Steamboat Inn in southern Oregon, internationally known for its Steelhead fishing.

After graduating from culinary school, Kacia spent three years in Portland, Oregon working at Atwaters and Higgins Restaurants. While there she learned the importance of using only the finest local and seasonal products.

With all of these experiences, she has come to us creating her own style of "southern" cooking with her own artistic French flair!

 

Sample Menu

Chef Kacia Duncan offers a three-course price fixed dinner Thursday through Sunday evenings. Menus change daily and feature the finest organic produce in season.

Benne seed fried Mountain trout with a fresh tomato - caper relish, served over lemon - herbed orzo salad and an eggplant and squash gratin
