Wildflowers & Butterflies of North Carolina
Happy Holidays Everyone,
We've been experiencing a somewhat milder start to winter this year. This time last year it was snowing - what would become a six incher, and now it is 50 degrees and raining. This is a little less seasonal but certainly easier to reach the Sourwood Inn.
This is the last weekend we are open for the year, but I wanted to let you know about something new we are doing in April 2012. We will be hosting a Butterfly and Wildflower Workshop (I am sure some birding will be included) the last weekend in April.
Jaret Daniels and his wife Stephanie have been visiting Sourwood for the past 11 years. It didn't take long for us to realize his talents. He is naturalist specializing in Butterflies as well as wildflowers in the Southeast. He is a Professor of Entomology at the University of Florida and more as you can read below.
We are very excited that he will be leading a Wildflower and Butterfly Trip in conjunction with Sourwood Inn. The attached is a detailed description of the trip.
