We welcomed Chef Kacia as our Executive Chef in the year of
2000. Over the many years she has become an important part of
the inn family. She shares her love of food and the table with all
of her guests. We just love her food! Kacia is a graduate of New
England Culinary Institute. After graduating, she spent three
years in Portland, Oregon at two of Portland’s finest restaurants,
Atwaters and Higgins.

She then became the Executive Chef at the Steamboat Inn in
southern Oregon, which is internationally known for Steelhead
fishing. Her culinary adventures then took her to the southwest
of France where she was the private chef on an exclusive barge.
While there she and the owner operated a cooking school and
conducted gastronomic tours through France and Spain.

After her stint in France, she decided to return to her roots in
North Carolina and landed at the Sourwood Inn. She has used
her extensive travels and cooking experience to create her own
style of "southern cooking with a French flair." Her passion for
sustainable food provides the best and freshest local product
available. Kacia wants you to experience her food as if you were
dining at her home.

Come and enjoy!
Whatever reason brings you to Sourwood Inn, we look forward to helping you relax and recharge your batteries.
